5 Things to Look for When Buying Kratom Online

By David Hahn ·

Premium lab-tested kratom from Koala Tea Kratom

The online kratom market is crowded. Quality varies wildly. Here are the five things that separate a vendor worth buying from one to walk past.

1. Third-Party Lab Testing

The single most important factor. Reputable vendors test every batch through independent labs for alkaloid content, heavy metals, microbiology, and contaminants. At Koala Tea Kratom we lab-test every batch. If a vendor can't show you a Certificate of Analysis for the product you're buying, that's a red flag.

2. Transparent Sourcing

Quality kratom is sourced from mature trees in Southeast Asia, primarily Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia. The best vendors maintain direct relationships with farm partners rather than buying through multiple middlemen.

3. Strain Selection & Freshness

A good vendor offers variety across vein colors: white, green, red, gold, yellow, and specialty blends. Freshness matters. Kratom's alkaloid content degrades over time. Look for vendors who turn over inventory regularly and use vacuum-sealed packaging.

4. Fair Pricing (Not Suspiciously Cheap)

Quality kratom has a cost. If a vendor sells kilos for $30 when the market average is $60-80, ask why. Rock-bottom pricing often means old stock, untested product, or adulterated powder.

Fair pricing for quality lab-tested powder: $7-10 per ounce, $20-35 for 250g, $60-80 per kilo. Our 2kg special at $100 and 25kg wholesale at $35/kg reward larger purchases with genuine savings.

5. Responsive Customer Service

Can you actually reach the vendor? A trustworthy company makes it easy to get in touch by phone, email, or contact form. At Koala Tea Kratom, David is personally available at (252) 253-9629.
